God is dead
And I swallowed him down with my blasphemous tongue
I took unto myself
His flesh and made a new Me from his rib
His bone and marrow bent into my image
The straight and narrow path of righteousness
Forsaken
God is dead and I supped on his blood
To quench a primordial thirst
I leadth him down to the still waters of
Eternal rest
His heart beats ever more in my chest
For God is Life and I, Death
I am a hungry child at the foot of his throne
Singing hymns with lips stained red
Biting the fingers of the hand that fed
For my God is long dead.
Stained glass splatter where I took my sacrifice
Witness the rite from the pews
I held his holy head aloft
And begged for anointing anew
This new communion commands consented carnage
where holy hands held fast
“Take, eat, for this is my body”
And sinless in my obedience,
I find my hunger satisfied at last
